Pleione — Terms of Use
Pleione is made by Merope (merope.dev). By installing or using it, you agree to these terms.
A player, not a provider
Pleione is a media player. It does not include, sell, host, link to or recommend any channels, playlists, movies, series or other content, and it comes with no sources set up. Everything it plays comes from playlists, program guides and accounts that you add yourself, from providers you choose. Merope has no relationship with any IPTV provider and does not endorse any.
Your responsibility
You are solely responsible for the sources you add and for what you watch with them. Only use playlists, accounts and streams that you have the right to access, in the country where you watch them. Do not use Pleione to infringe copyright or any other right, or to break the terms of a service you subscribe to.
If you hold rights in content that someone plays through Pleione, the person to contact is the provider of that stream: Pleione does not host it, and cannot remove it.
Optional third-party services
If you turn on online subtitles (OpenSubtitles, SubDL, Assrt) or cast photos (TMDB), you use those services under their own terms, with your own key where they need one. They are not operated by Merope. Pleione uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.
License and warranty
Pleione is free software, distributed under the Apache License, Version 2.0; the source code is on GitHub. As that license says, it is provided "as is", without warranties or conditions of any kind, and to the extent the law allows, Merope is not liable for any damages arising from its use, including from content you play with it or the availability of any provider.
Pleione is not made, endorsed or supported by LG Electronics or Samsung Electronics. LG, webOS, Samsung and Tizen are trademarks of their owners.
Changes
These terms may change with new versions of Pleione; the current version always lives at this address. Questions: support@merope.dev.
